PhD Research Project Opportunity with The Story of Books

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for doctoral research on ‘Collaboration and Fragmentation in the Making and Using of Books’ at Bangor University School of Creative Studies and Media. This research project would work with The Story of Books, Hay-on-Wye, and The Stephen Colclough Centre for the History and Culture of the Book, Bangor to survey the making and using of ‘books’ in the broadest sense. This PhD Research Project Opportunity is eligible for the PhD Fee Waiver Scheme offered by Bangor University.

THE STORY OF BOOKS where stories are told and books are made The Story of Books is developing plans for the first working museum dedicated to all aspects of books. The project is led by creative entrepreneur, Emma Balch. The Story of Books will have a permanent, physical HQ at Baskerville Hall near Hay-on-Wye. The Story of Books is also creating a series of collaborative and inclusive experiences – exhibitions, events, tours, digital projects and curated spaces – around the globe.
